CKX Q3 Down
“American Idol” parent company and Graceland owner CKX recently reported third-quarter losses of $2.4 million compared with profits of $11.2 million during the same period last year.
Driving the decline were lower revenues from “Idol,” “So You Think You Can Dance,” and Graceland, along with $8.3 million in restructuring costs at 19 Entertainment.
The company did see a bright spot in its Presley Business segment, however, where the Viva Elvis Cirque du Soleil show in Las Vegas helped generate a 7.8 percent increase in revenues to $1.1 million.
