More Plant / Band Of Joy For U.S.
Plant’s upcoming 2011 tour is being heralded as his first U.S. tour since Band Of Joy, co-produced by Buddy Miller, was released. Although the album was released in September, Plant and his Band Of Joy cohorts did hit U.S. venues in July, so the upcoming run is a second chance for fans.
Plant is bringing the same great musicians who appeared on the album and in concert, namely Patty Griffin, Darrell Scott, Byron House and Marco Giovino as well as co-producer Miller.
The winter fun begins Jan. 18 in Asheville, N.C., at the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium. Other destinations include Pittsburgh at the Peterson Events Center Jan. 19; Ann Arbor’s Hill Auditorium Jan. 21; Toronto at the Sony Centre For Performing Arts Jan. 22; Boston’s House Of Blues Jan. 25; New York’s Beacon Theatre Jan. 29; Washington at DAR Constitution Hall Feb. 1 and Atlanta at Fox Theatre Feb. 5.
