Bob ‘Big O’ Overand Dies

Bob Overand, 62, a longtime promoter based in Boise, Idaho, died from cancer Nov. 16.

Overand promoted the Music on the Mountain festival that took place in the area about a decade ago, and brought shows to venues like the Egyptian Theatre and Woodriver Cellars.

He also founded Big O Productions, then changed its name to Idaho Concerts.

“If Bravo Entertainment is the 1,000-pound gorilla of Idaho promoters, Big O is the spider monkey, hanging around, snagging bananas when the big ape isn’t looking,” Michael Deeds of the Idaho Statesman wrote in 2002.
