Paul Rodgers’ Solo U.K. Tour

Was there ever a time when Rodgers wasn’t earning his rep as one of the best rock singers ever? His rough-hewn bluesy voice fronted Free in the late 1960s / early ‘70s. Bad Company was next with Rodgers singing the band’s most famous hits, including “Feel Like Makin’ Love,” “Good Lovin’ Gone Bad” and “Rock ‘n’ Roll Fantasy.”

In the mid ‘80s he hooked up with Jimmy Page to form The Firm and it was only a few years ago when he joined forces with Queen’s Brian May and Roger Taylor for the Queen + Paul Rodgers tour. During the year Rodgers joined with his Bad Company comrades to recreate the magic once again.

Rodger’s U.K. tour begins April 15 at Blackpool’s Opera House, plays Sheffield’s City Hall venue April 16 and stops at Newcastle’s City Hall April 18. Other destinations include Glasgow (April 19), Manchester (April 21), Nottingham (April 22), Bournemouth (April 24), Southend-On-Sea (April 25), London (April 27) and Birmingham (April 28).

Also appearing will be Down ‘N’ Outz, a kind of Mott The Hoople tribute band fronted by Def Leppard singer Joe Elliott and featuring members of The Quireboys and Raw Glory.
