Davies Cancels U.S. Dates

On advice from his doctors, Ray Davies has canceled his short tour of East Coast U.S. cities.

Davies was supposed to play four cities with the Dessoff Chamber Choir beginning with Nov. 24 at New York’s Beacon Theatre. However, doctors told the Kinks frontman to abstain from traveling until his health improves from an undisclosed illness.

From Ray Davies’ official website.

“Ray did not personally cancel the American dates but was ordered by his doctors not to fly or embark on the accompanying ground travel for the forthcoming four U.S. dates until his medical condition has stabilized to their satisfaction. The doctors could not provide a time frame for this and advised Ray to cancel the dates.

“Ray would like to thank all his fans for their continued support and asks that everyone respect his privacy so he can concentrate on a swift recovery.”
