Look Out For Beady Eye’s First Shows

Liam Gallagher and three of his former-Oasis bandmates are gearing up to take their new band Beady Eye on the road for the group’s debut live shows.

Beady Eye features former-Oasis drummer Chris Sharrock along with guitarists Gem Archer and Andy Bell. According to a post on the group’s website, the touring band will feature Matt Jones on keyboards and Jeff Wootton on bass.

The band was formed after Oasis split up in August 2009. Gallagher’s brother, lead guitarist Noel, quit minutes before the Britpop band was set to set to take the stage at Paris’ Rock En Seine Festival. A festival organizer broke the bad news to the waiting crowd, explaining that “the group no longer exists” and had canceled the remaining European tour dates.

Beady Eye’s debut tour begins with two gigs March 3-4 at Barrowland in Glasgow, United Kingdom. The band will then hit up the O2 Apollo Manchester in the U.K. (March 6-7) and Troxy in London (March 9).

Dates are also set for Paris (March 13), Germany (March 14), Italy (March 16), Spain (March 18) and Netherlands (March 21).

Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 26 at 10 a.m.

The band released its debut single “Bring the Light” earlier this month. The debut album will be released next year.
