James & Ben Taylor’s Father/Son Outing

After wrapping a co-bill tour with Carole King this past summer, James Taylor has plans to hit the road early next year with another folk-rock musician quite close to him – his son, Ben Taylor.

Ben, who is the son of James and Carly Simon, is putting the finishing touches on his new album, Listening. The album will be released in 2011 as the follow-up to 2008’s The Legend of Kung Folk [Part 1 (The Killing Bite)].

The upcoming tour marks the first time the father and son have toured together. The good times begin Feb. 26 at Brady Theater in Tulsa, Okla. Dates are currently booked through a March 12 gig at Procter & Gamble Hall in Cincinnati.

Pre-sale tickets go on sale beginning Monday, Nov. 29.

Additional shows in February, March and April will be announced Dec. 3.

Before supporting his father on stage, Ben previously toured with Sheryl Crow, Blues Traveler and Ziggy Marley.
