New Zealand R&B Festival Canceled
Having Kelly Rowland, T-Pain, Ludacris and Third World on the bill failed to trigger sales for two Boom Tunz concerts in New Zealand.
The two shows, at the Waikato Stadium in Hamilton on Dec. 11 and Wellington’s Westpac Stadium Dec. 12 were canceled.
The Hamilton show was to draw 25,000 but only 2,000 tickets were reportedly sold for both events.
The tickets were NZ$120 (US$90) per head and $380 for four.
“The international line-up for Boom Tunz is one of the hottest on offer in R&B and hip hop circles,” said Boom Productions director Neil MacLeod. “We’re absolutely dismayed at the lack of support.”
