Yanni Lays Out 2011 Tour Plans

The keyboardist / composer reveals a very busy schedule for early 2011 as he hits the road in support of his first instrumental studio album since 2003.

Yanni’s next release – Truth Of Touch – lands in stores Feb. 8 and is the artist’s first instrumental studio work since Ethnicity, released in 2003.

Of course, Yanni never releases anything without plenty of advance promo, and Truth Of Touch is no exception. Described as an introduction to the new album, “Yanni: A Living Legacy,” debuted on PBS the day after Turkey Day.

Yanni’s 2011 North American tour begins in Mexico with the maestro playing Monterrey’s Arena Jan. 26, Puebla’s Complejo Cultural Siglo 21 Jan. 28; Mexico City’s Auditorio Nacional Jan. 30 and Guadalajara’s Auditorio Telmex Feb. 2.

The U.S. / Canada portion of the tour begins in Illinois at the Peoria Civic Center Arena March 22. Other stops include Chicago (Hoffman Estates) at Sears Centre Arena March 26; Detroit at the Fox Theatre March 27; Montreal at the Bell Centre March 31 and Toronto at the Sony Centre For The Performing Arts April 5.

Other towns hosting Yanni include Providence, Washington, Atlantic City, New York, Miami, Tampa, Atlanta, Denver, Seattle, San Francisco, San Diego and Fresno.
