Lissie’s ‘Catching A Tiger’
A lot has happened to Elisabeth Maurus, AKA Lissie, in the past 12 months. Her EP Why You Runnin’ was released in November 2009 nd her debut album, Catching A Tiger, came out earlier this year, a fine effort to accompany the growing buzz surrounding the singer’s live shows like her performance at the Austin City Limits Festival as well as sold-out gigs at West Hollywood’s Troubadour and the Hiro Ballroom in New York.
Having recently played Europe, Lissie returns to the North America for a headlining tour beginning Dec. 29 in Vancouver, B.C., at Biltmore Cabaret before wrapping up the year with stops in Portland at the Doug Fir Lounge Dec. 30 and the Snoqualmie Casino in Washington near Seattle New Year’s Eve.
While previously announced January dates include shows in Los Angeles, Denver, Davenport, Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Philadelphia, New York, Boston and Washington, D.C., Lissie recently announced new February gigs with her tour landing in Carrboro, N.C., at Cat’s Cradle Feb. 1; Asheville, N.C., at The Orange Peel Feb. 2; Nashville at Mercy Lounge Feb. 3; Atlanta at The Loft Feb. 5; Birmingham, Ala., at The Bottletree Feb. 7; New Orleans at The Paris at HOB Feb. 8 and Austin at Antone’s Feb. 10.
All January shows are on sale except for Washington, D.C, which goes up Dec. 16. Onsales for the newly announced February gigs begin Dec. 3. For more information, click here for Lissie’s website.
