New Album and Dates for Bright Eyes

The band celebrates its first album of new material in more than three years with shows in London and New York City.

The new album on Saddle Creek, The People’s Key, drops Feb. 15 in the U.S. (Feb.14 everywhere else), marking the band’s first studio effort since 2007’s Cassadaga.

Who’s in Bright Eyes these days? Along with Conor Oberst, the band is centered on permanent members Mike Mogis and Nathaniel Walcott with additional musicians playing on the album and accompanying the band on live shows. Folks appearing on The People’s Key include Andy LeMaster from Now It’s Overhead, Cursive’s Matt Maginn, Carla Azar from Autolux, Clark Baechle of The Faint, Shane Aspegren from The Berg Sans Nipple, The Mynabirds’ Laura Burhenn and Denny Brewer from Refried Ice Cream.

Right now there are only two shows on the books – March 9 in New York at Radio City Music Hall and June 23 across the pond in London at Royal Albert Hall.

Pre-sales for both shows begin Dec. 1 and the public onsales begin Dec. 4. For more information, click here for the Bright Eyes Facebook HQ.
