Shakira Kicking Off Costa Rica Stadium

Costa Rica’s new National Stadium, scheduled to open in February 2011, will be inaugurated in San Jose with an exhibition soccer match between Costa Rica and Argentina March 29 and a concert with Shakira April 3.

The $85 million venue was reportedly donated by China after diplomatic relations were established between the countries three years ago.

The stadium reportedly can accommodate 35,000 for sports events and up to 50,000 for concerts, the paper said.
