Rogers Buying MLSE?

A sale of a 66 percent stake in Maple Leaf Sports and Entertainment, including the Air Canada Centre and Toronto Maple Leafs hockey and Raptors basketball teams, to Rogers Communications is reportedly being discussed.

Rogers Communications has so far declined to confirm or deny a report by the Toronto Star that a $1.3 billion sale is in the works.

The deal would also include Toronto FC of Major League Soccer and the Leafs and Raptors TV stations, making Rogers one of the world’s largest sports enterprises.
