Suwannee Springfest 2011 Lineup Announced

The Avett Brothers, David Grisman Sextet, Jesse McReynolds and Donna The Buffalo are a few of the acts helping kick off the 2011 festival season at next year’s .

The 15th annual event features Americana and grassroots artists performing new and traditional folk, rock & roll, bluegrass and newgrass, alt-country and more. The festival takes place March 24-27 at the Spirit Of The Suwannee Music Park in Live Oak, Fla.

The venue is located next to the historic Suwannee River with 800 acres of campsites.

The 2011 lineup also features Emmitt Nershi Band, The Travelin’ McCoury’s with The Lee Boys, Jim Lauderdale, The Mosier Brothers, Acoustic Syndicate, Danny Barnes, Scythian, Trampled By Turtles, Steep Canyon Rangers, Joe Craven and with Michael Kang.

Larry Keel and Natural Bridge will be there along with Surprise Me Mr. Davis, The Motet, Dread Clampitt, Rowan Cunningham, Tornado Rider, Ralph Roddenbery, Greensky Bluegrass, Galen Kipar Project, Holy Ghost Tent Revival and Larkin Poe.

In addition fans will enjoy performances from Two Foot Level, Sloppy Joe, New 76ers, Saltwater Grass, Amy Hendrickson & the Prime Directive, Grandpa’s Cough Medicine and The Whetherman.

Tickets are on sale now.

Early bird weekend passes are available at a discounted price of $125 between Dec. 8 and Jan. 31. The price then increases to $150 between Feb. 1 and March 15. Tickets purchased between March 16-23 will set you back $165.  Weekend passes can also be purchased at the gate for $180 each. Ticket prices include camping as well as taxes and fees.

Single day tickets (which do not include camping) will only be sold at the gate. These will be priced between $50 and $75 each.

Saturday & Sunday passes will also be sold at the gate for $145 each.
