Formed in 1998, The Parlotones have achieved major success in South Africa, selling more records than Coldplay, Oasis and The Killers combined. Now the band is looking to conquer the U.S. and Canada via a club tour beginning March 3 in Atlanta at Smith’s Olde Bar.

Hitting all the major markets, The Parlotones will also play the Red Palace in Washington, D.C., March 5; New York City’s Mercury Lounge March 8; Detroit at Magic Stick March 11 and Chicago at Schuba’s March 12.

Other stops include Kansas City (March 13), Denver (March 21), Seattle (March 25), Vancouver (March 26) and San Francisco (March 29) before reaching the end of the road trip in Los Angeles at the Viper Room March 30.

The band is also booked for Austin’s SXSW. Expect date, location and show time to be announced shortly. There are also plans for an international live concert broadcast beaming out of Johannesburg in July.

You can have your say on the band’s tour poster, possibly something “Tim Burton- esque” according to the Creative Allies website. Click here for details and here for the band’s website.
