2011 MusiCares Performers Announced

Stevie Wonder, Diana Krall, Barry Manilow and members of the cast of the hit TV show “Glee” will perform early next year to honor Barbra Streisand as the 2011 MusiCares Person Of The Year.

The 21st annual MusiCares Person of the Year gala takes place Feb. 11 at the Los Angeles Convention Center as one of the events leading up to the 2011 Grammy Awards on Feb. 13.

Lea Michele, Matthew Morrison and Darren Criss of “Glee” will perform along with Tony Bennett, Donna Summer, Herbie Hancock, Kristin Chenoweth and Nikki Yanofsky.

The evening will wrap up with a special performance from Streisand.

The MusiCares Person of the Year tribute begins with a cocktail reception and silent auction featuring luxury items, VIP experiences and celebrity memorabilia. A gala dinner is followed by the concert and award presentation.

Proceeds from the event go towards MusiCares, which provides financial, medical and personal assistance to musicians in times of need.

Streisand is nominated for a 2011 Grammy for best traditional pop vocal album for Love Is The Answer. The singer/songwriter/actress/director has earned 8 Grammy Awards and been inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame three times.
