More Lil’ Wayne Scams

It’s still valid that if it looks too good to be true, it probably is.

About a month ago, Lil’ Wayne manager Cortez Bryant released a statement saying a scam artist has been feeding on independent promoters with a bogus tour offering.

Nothing’s changed: the guy’s still out there. One promoter, who didn’t take the bait, forwarded to Pollstar a December correspondence with the impersonator, plus the contract.

The tour? Oh, just a 2011 package that includes Lil’ Wayne, Drake, Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj for the rock-bottom price of $350,000.

The contract includes a routing number for Chase Bank, where the promoters can send in their deposits. Too bad the routing number doesn’t go to Chase Bank. Long story short – no need to respond to any solicitation from the e-mail protocol of youngmoneytour2011.com.
