Paper Jamz Gets Pulled
Just in time for Christmas, Gibson Guitar Corp. has been granted an injunction against a company that makes toy electronic guitars for wrongfully copying many of Gibson’s most famous models.
According to a complaint filed in November, Gibson said it must aggressively protect its trademarks from companies like Paper Jamz, which took design cues from Gibson guitars like the Les Paul, Flying V, Explorer and SG in the creation of their toys.
The injunction reportedly acknowledges that Gibson would be irreparably harmed by the continued sale of Paper Jamz guitars and requires retailers to remove all models from store shelves.
