Zakk Wylde Wants To Bring Metal To Your Children

For way too long, citizens of Planet Earth have yearned for an easy-to-read handbook detailing everything one needs to know about the world of heavy metal. Thankfully, guitarist extraordinaire Zakk Wylde has answered the call.

HarperCollins Publishing imprint William Morrow will publish Wylde’s tome “Bringing Metal To The Children.” Described as a “handbook to all things heavy metal,” the book promises to include all the backstage action one would expect from the leader of one of rock’s most fearsome bands – Black Label Society – including how to survive day-to-day life on the road and still make it to the gig on time.

Plus, “Bringing Metal To The Children” may be the only book that actually tests readers at the onset with a quiz designed to weed out the posers from the real rockers.

Along with Wylde’s numerous war stories detailing nights with metal’s most famous denizens, including Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Eddie Van Halen, Metallica’s Lars Ulrich, Dime Bag Darrell and Alice In Chain’s Mike Inez, “Bringing Metal… “ also provides tips for the aspiring metal musician, ranging from how to survive mosh pits to the skinny on installing shooting ranges on tour buses. In other words, this is the must-read book of 2011, a work that could even rival Billy Goodman’s 1988 inside-the-biz epic, “So, You Wanna Be A Roadie.”
