Janet Launching, Eagles Landing In Asia

Janet Jackson will launch her next world tour in Singapore Feb. 7.

The tour, which supports the release of a greatest hits album, will cover 35 cities. So far, it’s been announced that Hong Kong will be a stop on Feb. 14. Two years ago, Jackson canceled five concerts she had scheduled for Japan due to the global economic crisis.

The Eagles will play their first-ever shows in China March 9 and March 12, the former in Shanghai at the Mercedes-Benz Arena, the latter in Beijing at the Wukesong Arena. According to the Chinese company that invited the group, the most expensive ticket will be 2,580 yuan, or $380. Tickets went on sale Dec. 22.

Acclaimed Beijing post-punk band ReTros has been invited by Gang of Four, the group that virtually started the British postpunk movement at the end of the ’70s, to open for its Australian tour.
