Hardwick’s Our Man

Pollstar is happy to announce Chris Hardwick will be hosting this year’s Pollstar Awards at Club Nokia Feb. 5.

Hardwick is host of the G4 television network’s “Web Soup” and has been the energetic host of shows since the halcyon days of MTV. He has also been known to do comedy shows alongside Joel McHale, who hosts “The Soup” on G4’s sister network E! Entertainment Television.

The son of pro bowler Billy Hardwick, Chris has had a successful career in movies and voiceover acting, as well as a strong background in standup.

But what Hardwick is probably best known for is his hosting skills. Hardwick is not only hosting “Web Soup” but was a guest host of “Web Soup” predecessor “Talk Soup.”

But for those of us who have an affinity for classic MTV shows, Hardwick is known as the guy who hosted “Singled Out,” the goofy dating show that made stars out of Jenny McCarthy and Carmen Electra.

He has had recent performances on Comedy Central’s “The Benson Interruption” and “John Oliver’s New York Stand Up Show.”
