Friedman Leaves Nederlander

Adam Friedman, CEO of Nederlander Concerts since 2006, will step down from the company Jan. 21.

It is not known yet if Friedman is repositioning to another company or is a free agent. All indications are COO Alex Hodges, who was brought to the company by Friedman in 2007 after exiting HoB Concerts, will handle day-to-day operations.

“I have enjoyed working with the Nederlanders and the wonderfully talented people at Nederlander Concerts in developing and executing a strategy which has been successful throughout major transformations of the industry and a challenging economy,” Friedman said. “The Nederlanders are not only industry icons but also quality folks who I look forward to continued collaborations with as I explore other opportunities in this exciting time of change.”

Friedman was not available for further comment at press time.
