3 Years For Pearlman Aide
Robert Fischetti, a former associate of Lou Pearlman, was sentenced Jan. 5 in Orlando, Fla., federal court to three years in prison for his part in Pearlman’s decades-long Ponzi scheme that bilked investors out of $300 million.
Fischetti pleaded guilty last June to one count of conspiracy and three counts of failure to file tax returns stemming from selling worthless stock and retirement account investments in Trans Continental Airlines and Transcontinental Airlines Travel Services.
Pearlman, former manager of Backstreet Boys and ‘Nsync, is serving a 25-year sentence after pleading guilty to running the investment scam.
