SMG Comes To Jamaica

SMG is branching out in the Caribbean with a new deal to manage and market the Montego Bay Convention Centre in Jamaica.

Under the terms of the deal, SMG will book the venue, recruit and train new staff and develop marketing and promotional programs in cooperation with the local tourist board. Dittie Guise, a longtime member of the company’s management team, will take the reins as GM of the Centre.

The seven-year agreement includes an option to renew for an additional three years at the end of the period. The convention center opened Jan. 7.
