Tim McGraw Tickets Go Up This Weekend
Last week when the tour was announced, only dates and cities were released, leaving many fans as well as Pollstar researchers laying awake at night wondering which halls the country star would play. But all that pondering is now history as today’s ticket announcement details the buildings as well as the onsales.
And it’s all the buildings you’d expect a tour of this magnitude to play. Venues like the Excel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minn. (May 14), Mississippi Coliseum in Jackson (April 12) and the Sprint Center in Kansas City (May 20).
Come summer the tour moves outside, playing major sheds throughout the U.S. like the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre outside St. Louis (May 21), Shoreline Amphitheatre in the San Francisco Bay Area (June 11), the beautiful Gorge Amphitheatre near Quincy, Wash. (June 18) and Chicago’s First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre (July 16).
So far, the “Emotional Traffic” tour is one of the longest outings currently on the books for 2011 with dates stretching all the way through mid-August. But then, it’s already been a big year for McGraw, with the country artist appearing alongside Gwyneth Paltrow in the film “Country Strong” as well as setting a record for the most weeks at No. 1 on Nielsen BDS for his “Felt Good On My Lips” single.
With the exception of a few isolated dates Luke Bryan and The Band Perry appear on all shows. Tickets go on sale this Saturday, Jan. 15. For more information, check out TimMcGraw.com.
