Broken Social Scene’s YouTube Scene

Although the capacity at New York City’s Terminal 5 is set at 3,000 Broken Social Scene is inviting every single one of its fans to check out next week’s gig through the show’s live stream on YouTube.

The Terminal 5 show takes place Tuesday, Jan. 18. The show will be streamed in its entirety beginning at 9 p.m. EST at youtube.com/bowerypresents

Along with tunes from the group’s latest release, 2010’s Forgiveness Rock Record, the Canadian indie rock band has promised to play favorites from 2005’s self-titled album and 2002’s You Forgot It In People.

Broken Social Scene’s 2011 tour dates kick off on Sunday at London Music Hall in London, Ontario. Gigs are on the books through a Feb. 20 show at Cain’s Ballroom in Tulsa, Okla.

The band will also be making stops at The Buckhead Theatre in Atlanta (Feb. 10), Tipitina’s Uptown in New Orleans (Feb. 15), Warehouse Live in Houston (Feb. 17) and House Of Blues in Dallas (Feb. 19).

Toronto band Zeus will open all of the February shows.
