Usher Reschedules More Shows

After rescheduling Wednesday’s show in Berlin to Thursday, and then walking off the stage in the middle of Thursday’s gig, Usher has postponed the next three performances on his European tour.

People.com reported that Usher performed two songs Thursday at Berlin’s O2 Arena before lowering his head, standing silently on stage for about four minutes and walking off. Fans were informed that the singer was too sick to go on with the show.

According to his official website, Usher is suffering from upper respiratory illness.

“I have been very excited about my European Tour and I deeply regret having to reschedule the shows,” Usher said in a statement posted Friday. “I am truly sorry for any inconvenience I have caused my fans. My fans are the best in the world and I am looking forward to getting better so that I can give them the show they deserve.”

He is set to return to the stage Jan. 18 with a show at Halle Tony Garnier in Lyon, France.

Usher’s gig at Ahoy Rotterdam in Rotterdam, Netherlands has been rescheduled for March 1.

The show at Sportpaleis Antwerpen in Merksem, Belgium, will now take place March 7.

The Berlin and Oberhausen shows have not yet been rescheduled.
