Concert Attendance Rises
More Australians are attending concerts, according to figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics.
Of those aged 15 and older, 30 percent attended at least one concert in 2009-10. That figure was 25 percent in 2005-06.
Going to cinemas remained the favourite cultural activity, with 67 percent catching at least one movie in the same period, a 2 percent rise.
Other popular pastimes included zoos and aquariums (37 percent), botanic gardens (35 percent), libraries (34 percent) and art galleries and museums (26 percent).
