A UNM official said a fan pulled the alarm with one second left in the first half of UNM’s game against Colorado State. The game resumed about 30 minutes later.
Extra regulations imposed on The Pit by the state fire marshal’s office cause the alarms to sound without the usual brief delay.
A mid-December grease fire at a concession cooking area also led to a temporary evacuation of the building, which has undergone $60 million in renovations.
