The Kills Spring North American Tour

With a release date set for The Kills’ fourth studio album, the duo is now ready to hit the road to show off the new tunes. Spring North American dates have been announced along with several gigs in Europe.

Blood Pressures is set for release April 4 worldwide and April 5 in the United States as the follow-up to 2008’s Midnight Boom.

After playing the 2011 edition of South by Southwest in Austin, Texas (March 16-20), the indie rock band’s North American dates continue the following month with an April 15 show at House Of Blues in San Diego. Dates are booked through a May 11 gig at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

The trek also includes performances at Cannery Ballroom in Nashville, Tenn. (April 22), 9:30 Club in Washington, D.C. (April 24), Theatre Of The Living Arts in Philadelphia (April 27), Terminal 5 in New York (April 29), Sound Academy in Toronto (May 1), and Vic Theatre in Chicago (May 4).

In between SXSW and the North American headlining shows the duo will hit up Europe in late March. A round of dates March 29-April 8 features shows in Belgium, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Italy, France and Germany.

The Kills are bringing along Cold Cave and The Entrance Band for all North American shows except for the April 15 gig at San Diego’s House Of Blues. That show will feature the Foals as special guests.

A presale for tickets began today. All pre-sale tickets include a free signed art print from the band.

Tickets go on sale to the general public beginning Friday, Jan. 21.
