U2 First In La Plata

U2 will be the first concert at the new Estadio Ciudad De La Plata in La Plata, Argentina, March 30 and April 2-3.

The 36,000-capacity, state-of-the-art stadium features a roof but a natural grass pitch grown in boxes outside that can be moved inside the venue and taken back out as needed, according to International Television News.

The stadium, expected to open in early February, will also be a host venue for this year’s Copa America international football championship July 1-24.
