Iron & Wine Blow Fans Another Kiss With More Dates

Iron & Wine has rolled out a second round of U.S. 2011 dates in support of the folk rock group’s fourth studio album.

Kiss Each Other Clean is set for release on Tuesday, Jan. 25, as the follow-up to 2007’s The Shepherd’s Dog. The album is Iron & Wine’s first for Warner Bros.

Before purchasing the album fans can give it a test listen at the band’s official website where Iron & Wine (otherwise known as singer-songwriter Sam Beam and his band) have kindly posted all 10 tracks.

“It’s more of a focused pop record,” Beam told Spin.com in an interview last fall.

“It sounds like the music people heard in their parent’s car growing up … that early-to-mid-‘70s FM, radio-friendly music.”

Beam and the gang are celebrating the release with a Jan. 24 performance at Amoeba Music in Hollywood, Calif. Those who pre-order Kiss Each Other Clean beginning at 5 p.m., Monday will receive a limited-edition Iron & Wine “Live At Amoeba” poster. Beam will stick around after the performance to sign posters for the first 100 fans who purchase the album. Fans who can’t make it to the show can watch the gig streamed live on amoeba.com.

After playing Amoeba, Iron & Wine have lined up a two-night stand at The Wiltern in Los Angeles Jan. 25-26, followed by a gig at Radio City Music Hall in New York Jan. 29.

The second leg of U.S. dates begins April 14 at Royal Oak Music Theatre in Michigan. Shows are booked through an April 29 performance at House Of Blues in Cleveland.

Additional dates include Town Ballroom in Buffalo, N.Y., April 15; Higher Ground in South Burlington, Vt., April 17; 40 Watt Club in Athens April 25; Amos’ Southend in Charlotte, N.C., April 26; and The National in Richmond, Va., April 27.

In-between the U.S. dates Iron & Wine will head to Europe with shows booked Feb.2-March 17. The tour includes stops in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, France, Ireland and United Kingdom.

The majority of U.S. tickets are on sale now with a select number of dates going on sale Saturday, Jan. 22.
