New Tour, New Guitarist For Senses Fail
New to Senses Fail is Strike Anywhere guitarist Matt Smith, replacing original member Garrett Zablocki who left the group to pursue a college education. In a message to fans, Zablocki said he would play music “on the side” but would no longer do if “full time.”
“I never thought playing guitar and writing songs in my basement would bring us to stages around the world, five albums recorded and experiences that I wouldn’t have had otherwise,” Zablocki said. “The stories I can tell over a beer with a friend are endless because of what we accomplished through the years. I wish Buddy (Nielsen), Dan (Trapp) and Jason (Black) the best of luck as they continue Senses Fair on into the future.”
The tour begins in Scranton, Pa., at Eleanor Rigby’s March 10; plays Akron, Ohio, at Musica March 11 and stops in Covington, Ky., for a gig at the Mad Hatter March 12. Other cities loaded into the tour bus GPS include St. Louis (March 13), Colorado Springs (March 19), Sacramento (March 22), Anaheim (March 25), Las Vegas (March 26), Fort Worth (March 30), New Orleans (April 1), Norfolk (April 6) and Pittsburgh April 9.
Senses Fail is touring in support of its fourth album, The Fire. Man Overboard and Transit appear on all dates while The Ghost Inside joins the tour March 15 in Palatine, Ill.
