Billed as its only U.S. appearance, hard rock’s “Big Four”Metallica, Slayer, Megadeth and Anthrax – lands at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, Calif., in April.

But don’t confuse the date with the annual that takes place at the Empire. While Coachella is set for April 15-17, the Big Four take over the grounds April 23, one week after the three-day extravaganza.

But like Coachella, the day-long Big Four show is presented by Goldenvoice, which probably looked at those Euro festival gigs featuring the four bands and said something like, “Hmmm….”

Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 28 at 10 a.m. Pacific Time and are priced at $99 for general admission and $199 for VIP. The Big Four will also feature same day shuttle service from various So. Calif. locations with prices ranging from $40 to $65 round trip.
