Huskies Take Flight

University of Washington – Seattle officials sold the naming rights for Hec Edmundson Pavilion to Alaska Airlines, home of the PAC 10 Conference Washington Huskies, Jan. 20.

Under the deal, Alaska Airlines will reportedly pay the university about $700,000 a year in cash and sponsorship benefits for five years. The 10,000-capacity venue’s new name is Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion.

The school’s 10-year deal with Bank of America, which previously paid $500,000 a year, expired last year.
