Tonight Deftones play Palace Theatre in Melbourne, Australia, before performing at the “Big Day Out” festival this weekend. In February the band has lined up shows in Japan, Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore.

The spring North American tour begins April 14 in Seattle. The trek features Dillinger Escape Plan as the opening act.

Deftones are touring in support of the group’s sixth studio album, Diamond Eyes. The album was released in May 2010 as the follow-up to 2006’s Saturday Night Wrist.

Tickets for the new dates go on sale to the general public beginning Feb. 4 at 10 a.m. local time. VIP packages are available with perks including a meet and greet with the band, an autographed set list, a sound check performance and crowd free, pre-show merch shopping.
