Myth Nightclub Back On Track

Myth nightclub in Maplewood, Minn., shuttered since 2009, has a new owner with plans to bring the venue back to life.

Maplewood City Council approved a liquor license Jan. 24 for Mike Miranowski, who’s taken over the lease for the venue, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

Miranowski told the council he intends to host live music and corporate events at the approximately 4,000-capacity club but no other details were announced, the paper said.

Miranowski is said to be securing more parking near the venue as well as working with city police on security measures.

The nightclub was shuttered amid a financial spat between previous owners Mike Ogren and Steve Sadowski with the venue’s parent company, Club Rage.

Ogren claimed he’d leased the club to the investor group, which he said was interested in eventually buying the club. But the group stopped paying its bills, so he evicted them.

Sadowski claimed he took over Myth to recoup a $3.5 million loan he made to Ogren for another business that failed.
