Murray Conviction Could Save Insurers
Lloyds of London insurers would avoid having to make a multimillion payout to AEG if Michael Jackson’s personal doctor is convicted of involuntary manslaughter, according to the Daily Express.

Sources reportedly told the paper that the U.S. entertainment giant and owner of London’s O2 Arena, where Jackson’s 50-date This Is It concert series was to take place, has an insurance policy that covers the singer failing to perform because of an accidental death.
In June Dr. Conrad Murray will stand trial over the pop legend’s death in 2009. It is alleged he gave Jackson a lethal dose of an anaesthetic, mixed with other sedatives, and then failed to provide proper care. He denies the charge.
