Elvis Costello Announces May U.S. Tour

Not only does Elvis Costello have a sparkling new list of U.S. dates, but the legendary rocker is adding a Vegas-style element of chance to his show.

For the first time in 25 years Costello is leaving his nightly set list up to “The Spectacular Spinning Songbook,” a game-show wheel featuring 40 song titles filled with hits, rarities and even a few cover versions of other people’s tunes. Spin the wheel, play the song. Everybody wins.

The new May dates begin with a gig at Reno’s Grand Sierra Theatre May 7 and include two nights at Oakland’s Fox Theatre May 8-9; Los Angeles at The Wiltern May 11 and Las Vegas at the Pearl Concert Theatre May 13.

The Windy City is next, with Costello & The Imposters playing the Chicago Theatre May 15 followed by a string of East Coast dates – Montclair, N.J., at the Wellmont Theatre May 18; Upper Darby near Philadelphia at the Tower Theatre May 19; Boston at the Wang Theatre May 20 and two nights at New York City’s Beacon Theatre May 22-23.

The first presale begins today at ArtistArena.com and is for the May 15 Chicago show. VIP packages will cost you an extra $100 and include a limited edition signed Costello Lithograph, one limited edition National Ransack EP, an Elvis Costello pick pack and one commemorative VIP Laminate.
