London’s Got The Blues

This summer London will host over two dozen artists including B.B. King, Dr. John, and Max Weinberg Experience for the inaugural BluesFest London.

The festival takes place June 27-July 3 at iconic venues throughout the city with performances set at 100 Club, Bush Hall, Jazz Café, PizzaExpress Jazz Club, Royal Albert Hall, Under The Bridge and Union Chapel.

The lineup also includes Annie Ross, The Blind Boys Of Alabama, Trombone Shorty, Incognito, Georgie Fame, Bucky Pizzarelli, Monty Alexander, James Hunter and Claire Martin & Jim Mullen.

In addition, fans will enjoy performances from The Unfortunate Sons, Echoes of Ellington Big Band, Mike Sanchez, Jon Cleary, Get The Blessing, Tommy Smith, Buddy Greco, Booker T, Martin Taylor, Tommy Smith, Chris Barber, Scott Hamilton & Harry Allen, Sandi Thom and .

“It is thrilling to be able to welcome a new music festival to London. The Blues may have originated in the U.S., but they have provided the beating heart of British pop music, from Georgie Fame and The Rolling Stones to Adele,” London Mayor Boris Johnson said in a statement on the festival’s website.

“With an exceptional line-up of world renowned performers BluesFest will add another dimension to the capital’s lively schedule of summer festivals.”

Tickets to B.B. King’s June 28 show at Royal Albert Hall are on sale now. Tickets to all other shows will go on sale Feb. 21 and will be sold through the venues.
