John Legend Joins Sade Tour

Sade’s summer tour ups the star power with the addition of R&B star John Legend to each and every date.

Already a six-time Grammy winner, Legend is up for five gramophone statuettes for his collaboration with The Roots on Wake UP!

Sade, which is the name of the band as well as lead singer Sade Adu, is also up for a dose of Grammy love, receiving two noms resulting from the group’s Soldier Of Love album – best pop performance by a duo or group with vocals for “Babyfather” and best R&B performance by a duo or group with vocals for the title track.

Sade and Legend have also accrued several NAACP Image Awards with the band snagging four and Legend getting two noms.

The Live Nation-produced tour begins June 16 in Baltimore at 1st Mariner Arena and includes shows in Philadelphia (June 19), Toronto (June 28); Boston (July 6), Chicago (Aug. 5-6), Los Angeles (Aug. 19-20) and San Jose (Aug. 25). Last stop on the itinerary is Anaheim at the Honda Center Aug. 30.
