Break’s Over For TV On The Radio

In fall 2009 TV On The Radio announced it was taking a yearlong hiatus from touring. The indie rock band is now back with a spring U.S. tour and an upcoming new album.

TV On The Radio’s last show took place Aug. 29, 2009 at Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival.

The group returns to the stage April 8 with a gig at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory. U.S. dates are booked through a May 2 show in San Diego at 4th and B.
Additional shows include stops in Charlottesville, Va. (April 9); Baltimore (April 10); New York (April 13); Boston (April 16); Detroit (April 20); Minneapolis (April 23-24) and Denver (April 26).

TV On The Radio will also hit up Canada with shows in Montreal (April 17) and Toronto (April 18). On July 3 the group plays Wireless Festival at Hyde Park in London.

Tickets are on sale to the band’s New York gig at Radio City Music Hall. A pre-sale for select dates begins Thursday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m. EST. Additional tickets go on sale Feb. 25 and 26.

TV On The Radio’s website simply displays the title of the new album – Nine Types Of Light – and a link to join the band’s mailing list. According to Seattle radio station 107.7 The End, the group’s fourth studio album will be released April 12. Fans can check out a new tune from the band, titled “Will Do,” below, courtesy of Interscope Records and The End.
