Groban talked about his world tour while making a Valentine’s Day appearance on NBC’s “Today Show” two weeks ago. However, despite the very visible platform to announce a tour, Groban revealed only three dates. Now he lays out details for an entire continent.

Supporting his 2010 album, Illuminations, Groban’s “Straight To You” tour begins in New Orleans at the Lakefront Arena May 12; plays Houston’s Toyota Center May 14 and stops in Dallas at the American Airlines Arena May 16. Other cities include Tulsa (May 20), Kansas City (May 25), Raleigh (June 11), Minneapolis (July 8), Toronto (July 18), Pittsburgh (Aug. 3), Milwaukee (Aug. 9), Denver (Aug. 12), Seattle (Aug. 27), Edmonton (Sept. 2), Tampa (Oct. 28) and Providence (Nov. 9). Last show on the itinerary is scheduled for Nov. 14 at New York’s Madison Square Garden.

The game plan calls for Groban to deliver an intimate theatre feel despite playing arenas and will incorporate stage design, lighting and projection with spontaneous elements including soliciting feedback from fans regarding setlist selections.

Groban has also lined up more TV to talk about the tour, securing a guest-host slot on “Live With Regis & Kelly” March 4. Onsales for many of the newly announced dates begin that day although New Orleans doesn’t go up until March 18. For more information, check out Josh Groban’s website.
