Pitchfork Festival Announces Initial Lineup

Tickets went on sale for Pitchfork Music Festival today, coinciding with the announcement of the first round of 2011 artists including Animal Collective, Fleet Foxes and TV On The Radio.

The annual Chicago event takes place July 15-17 at Union Park.

Bridge School Benefit, Shoreline Amphitheatre, Mountain View, Calif.

Animal Collective is slotted for Friday, July 15 along with James Blake, Das Racist and Curren$y.

On Saturday Fleet Foxes perform along with Dismemberment Plan, Ariel Pink’s Haunted Graffiti, Woods, Sun Airway and Kylesa.

Sunday features TV On The Radio, Cut Copy, Deerhunter, Destroyer, OFWGKTA and Yuck.

More performers will be announced in the weeks leading up to the event.

Three-day passes are priced at $110 each. Single-day tickets are $45 each.

Fans are encouraged to scoop up tickets quickly because last year’s three-day passes sold out in just five days.
