There’s no simple way to describe David Foster’s incredible career. From playing keyboards for ‘70s band Skylark to producing debut albums by such notables as Michael Bublé, The Corrs and Josh Groban, Foster has assembled an amazing list of credits. His resume also features co-writing the official song of the 1996 Summer Olympics with Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds,” film scores including “St. Elmo’s Fire” and “Stealing Home,” and working with everyone from Michael Jackson to Bryan Adams.

Called the “David Foster & Friends Hitman” show, the first announced Vegas dates are Oct. 1 and Nov. 25, both at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Tickets will go on sale in May. Although the “Friends” part of the title hasn’t been clearly defined, expect “Glee” actress Charice to appear on the shows. Past Foster friends have included Earth, Wind & Fire, Donna Summer, Andrea Bocelli, Chaka Khan and Seal.

“I love bringing all different sorts of talent together on stage for one night,” Foster said while announcing the Las Vegas dates. “These upcoming Foster & Friends shows will continue the tradition of one big party along with exciting combinations of artists performing together.”

While you’re waiting for those dates to go on sale, you can catch “Hit Man Returns: David Foster & Friends” all through March on PBS as part of the network’s “Great Performances” series. Or you can buy the recently released DVD/CD package. You can also catch Foster on NBC’s “Today Show” March 9. For more information, visit DavidFoster.com.
