NSW To Get Events Commissioner

New South Wales Premier Kristina Keneally wants a bit of Oprah fever.

After seeing the global media coverage American talk-show megastar Oprah Winfrey received for her Australian visit last December – and the effect on tourism from the U.S. – Keneally wants to enlist a high-profile promoter as a “concert and special events commissioner.”

She wants to get the biggest music acts in the world to NSW and make it the region’s “World Tour Concert Capital.”
