Chance is the latest teen singer to rise from the land of YouTube where a video depicting the then-sixth grader performing Lady Gaga’s “Paparazzi” at a school music event in his hometown of Edmond, Okla., went on to become the site’s third most popular vid of the year, attracting more than 30 million views. An appearance on the “Ellen DeGeneres Show” quickly followed as did a spot on the roster of DeGeneres’ record label, eleveneleven. The upcoming tour will be Chance’s second, having recently gone out on the road with Miranda Cosgrove.

Simpson hails from Australia’s Gold Coast where he also went the YouTube route, posting videos of himself performing songs by such folks as Justin Timberlake, Michael Jackson and Jason Mraz. Simpson, who signed with Atlantic Records in April 2010, recently released his first EP, titled 4U, and is working on his first full-length album.

The “Waiting 4U Tour” begins in Denver at The Gothic April 11, plays Minneapolis’ Cedar Cultural Center April 13 and stops in St. Louis at The Pageant April 14. Other towns include Chicago (April 15), Milwaukee (April 16), Royal Oak, Mich. (April 17), Cleveland (April 19), Boston (April 23), New York (April 26), Orlando (May 3), Dallas (May 8), Los Angeles (May 11) and Seattle (May 17) before wrapping in Portland, Ore., at the Roseland Theatre May 18.

By the way, Chance is 13 and Simpson is 14 and they’re already well on their way to the big time. What did you do with your life today?
