Aussie Merch Merge

Brian Taranto’s merchandise and tour company Love Police merged its merchandise division with market leader Australian Tour Merchandising.

ATM is part of Michael Gudinski’s Mushroom Group of Companies.

The new company, Love Police/ATM, will operate Sydney and Melbourne offices under Taranto as managing director and Vincent Donato of the Mushroom Group.

No staff will be let go, says Taranto, who started out at ATM in 1985 when he left school and stayed for nine years before striking out on his own.

Love Police’s clients include festivals Laneway, Groovin the Moo, Splendour In The Grass and Big Day Out.

ATM was set up in 1983 and pioneered concert and event merchandising downunder.

It struck direct deals with acts including Kylie Minogue, Taylor Swift, The Temper Trap and Keith Urban, and represents Bravado for its live tour merchandise operations.
