New Death Cab For Cutie Spring Shows

Death Cab For Cutie has announced a round of North American tour dates to go along with the release of the indie rock band’s seventh studio album.

The group is taking pre-orders for Codes and Keys through its official website. The album is set for release May 31. A premium package is available with perks including limited edition merch, a one-year online fan club membership, the “Live at the Mt. Baker Theater” DVD, and the ability to stream the entire album 72 hours before the album street date.

The new shows kick off May 18 in Toronto with a gig at Phoenix Concert Theatre. New North American dates are booked through a June 9 performance at The Fillmore in San Francisco.

Ben Gibbard and the gang will also be playing Chicago (May 20), Minneapolis (May 21), New York (June 1), Washington, D.C. (June 3), Philadelphia (June 4), Boston (June 5) and Los Angeles (June 7).

A pre-sale for the DCFC Union Local #1138 fan club begins Thursday, March 24 at 12 p.m. local time. Tickets go on sale to the general public Saturday, March 26.

Previously announced shows include Canadian gigs in Edmonton, Alberta (May 24) and Calgary, Alberta (May 27), in addition to U.S. dates in Bend, Ore., (May 27) and Los Angeles (Aug. 18-19). Death Cab For Cutie will also play Sasquatch! Music Festival May 28 in Quincy, Wash.

European dates are booked June 26 through July 7 with shows in Germany, Netherlands and the United Kingdom.
