Service Scheduled For Nate Dogg

The Long Beach Press-Telegram says the service for Nate Dogg, whose real name was Nathaniel Dwayne Hale, will be Saturday at the Long Beach Cruise Terminal adjacent to the Queen Mary.

Attorney Mark Geragos says Nate Dogg died March 15 of complications from multiple strokes. He was 41.

Nate Dogg provided hooks for rappers from coast to coast, but the Long Beach native is best known for his contributions to the West Coast soundtrack provided by the likes of Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre, Tha Dogg Pound and others.

His sister, Pamela Hale-Burns, says the 10 a.m. Saturday service will be open to the public. No cameras will be allowed.
